CanadianOwn is an independent consumer directory, shopping discovery platform, and editorial publication architected by Asif Khan. Our purpose is to inform consumers about Canadian-owned corporations, domestic artisans, and local manufacturing alternatives to foreign conglomerates.

CanadianOwn does not stock inventory, operate fulfillment warehouses, or directly execute retail sales transactions. We connect shoppers directly to official merchant storefronts and brand makers.

The original software architecture, UI design, text content, editorial reviews, database taxonomy, and branding of CanadianOwn are protected under Canadian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Trademarks:All brand names, trade names, company logos, and registered trademarks displayed on CanadianOwn (e.g., Stanfield’s, Hatley, Revive Superfoods, HostPapa, Corel Pinnacle, etc.) are the property of their respective trademark holders.

Their display on CanadianOwn constitutes nominative fair use for identification, review, and comparative product discovery purposes, and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or formal partnership unless explicitly documented.

Catalog data, Canadian dollar (CAD) prices, promotional discounts, and inventory availability displayed on CanadianOwn are indexed from publicly available merchant storefronts, catalog feeds, and manufacturer websites for comparative reference. While we strive for timely accuracy, merchant pricing and stock levels are controlled solely by the respective retailers and may change without notice.

Pricing Discrepancies & Merchant Supremacy:CanadianOwn does not sell products directly, does not process payments, and does not determine retail prices. CanadianOwn and its founders explicitly disclaim all liability for any pricing errors, outdated promotional codes, currency conversion variations, or differences between our indexed listings and a merchant's checkout page. In all circumstances, the price, currency, taxes, shipping charges, and terms displayed on the merchant's checkout page at the exact moment of purchase will supersede any information shown on CanadianOwn and govern your transaction.

Manufacturing & Ownership Verification: Brand ownership is audited against corporate registries and public filings. Manufacturing origins are verified against Canadian Competition Bureau guidelines (including the 51%+ direct cost threshold). However, supply chains evolve; consumers are encouraged to verify specific product tags if 100% domestic assembly is required.

Users agree to use CanadianOwn strictly for lawful consumer shopping and research purposes. You may not:

• Launch automated denial-of-service attacks, data scrapers, or exploits against our search APIs.
• Attempt to misrepresent foreign entities as verified Canadian domestic manufacturers.
• Inject malicious scripts, adware, or unlawful content into brand submission portals.

CANADIANOWN IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CANADIANOWN AND FOUNDER ASIF KHAN DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS, MERCHANT OUTAGES, OR ERRORS IN CATALOG LISTINGS.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to conflict of laws principles.
